Join us at Tidal Yoga as we celebrate International Yoga Day and Summer Solstice by practicing 108 Sun Salutations.
Join us on June 21st to celebrate International Yoga Day, honouring the Summer Solstice when the sun’s energy peaks. This day marks when Shiva, the Adi Yogi, shared yoga’s wisdom with the Saptarishi.
We’ll begin with 108 Surya Namaskār, symbolising the 108 Hindu deities and energy lines in the body, to energise and set your intentions. In Hindu philosophy, the average distance from the Earth to the Sun is about 108 times the Sun’s diameter, representing harmony between the Earth, Sun, and universe.
We’ll end with Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation for deep relaxation.
Afterward, enjoy snacks, drinks, and community. All proceeds support the Hindu Temple.
Can’t Attend? You Can Still Contribute!
Donations are welcome to support the temple’s growth.
Celebrate the light, yourself, and community on June 21st!
