Or you have a steady crow pose and want to explore what comes next \nJourney to Arm Balances is a two-hour exploration of the foundations behind arm balancing. We’ll start by building the strength\, alignment\, and confidence needed to lift safely and with control\, before gradually progressing into variations for those ready to go further. \nIf you’re new\, you’ll learn how to set up properly\, shift your weight without fear\, and understand why arm balances work. If you already have crow pose in your practice\, you’ll refine your technique and begin exploring shapes such as side crow and flying side crow. \nThroughout the workshop\, we’ll explore: \n• How to create a strong and stable base through the hands and shoulders\n• Crow pose (Bakasana) foundations and refinements\n• Side crow (Parsva Bakasana)\n• Flying side crow variations\n• Practical drills to continue building strength and confidence at home \nExpect a supportive\, focused\, and playful environment where you can challenge yourself at your own pace. Whether you’ve never been upside down before\, have been practicing but feel stuck\, have the very basic headstand down but want to explore different entries and shapes\, or simply want to revisit the foundations of this classic inversion\, you are welcome to join! \nThe workshop breaks headstand down into clear steps\, focusing on alignment\, strength\, technique\, and safety. You will learn how to build a strong and steady base\, understand common mistakes\, and develop the body awareness needed to approach headstand with confidence. We will be doing work in pairs\, so be prepared for some fun collaboration! \nWe’ll explore: \n\nThe fundamentals of headstand alignment and set-up\nStrengthening and preparation exercises\nA variety of headstand entries\nDifferent headstand shapes and variations\nPractical drills and techniques to safely continue the practice at home\n\nThe workshop offers a playful\, encouraging environment where you can explore your edge at your own pace\, with plenty of options to try.
