TEACHING AT TIDAL YOGA
Tidal Yoga is a new yoga studio in Leith which aims to make yoga available to everyone.

Teaching at Tidal Yoga
Tidal Yoga is a newly refurbished yoga studio in Leith, Edinburgh. It’s a warm and welcoming space designed to fit with our ethos that Yoga welcomes everyone.
Our yoga teachers share our belief that yoga should be accessible, supportive, and available to all. We want classes where students feel cared for and where they have the guidance and space to develop their practice at their own pace. For example, we ask that you encourage the use of props in classes.
TEACH AT TIDAL YOGA

We have a few slots in our class timetable for teachers who have completed at least 200 hours of yoga teacher training, have some teaching experience, and hold insurance.
Tidal Yoga’s opening class schedule offers classes for beginners, Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Pre and Post Natal. We would love to hear from you if you enjoy teaching any of these classes or an Ashtanga practice. There are a few time slots still to fill, including early bird, weekend and evenings.
We also offer occasional opportunities for newly qualified teachers because we know that everyone has to start somewhere.
What we are looking for

You’ll need to share our ethos of creating an inclusive and welcoming space. We look for teachers who:
Embrace Inclusivity: You should be committed to making yoga accessible for everyone, regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, ability, fitness level or experience.
Have an invitational style of teaching: ensuring that props and alternative postures are available and actively support people who may feel unsure about participating in a yoga class.
Create a Welcoming Atmosphere: We encourage teachers to welcome students individually. We’d like everyone to feel seen and supported.
Adapt to Different Needs: You should be able to offer modified poses and sequences to accommodate the varying needs and levels in your class.
Communicate with Care: You should engage with students in a warm and encouraging way, offering thoughtful guidance throughout the practice.
Our Rates and Rewards
For 2025/26, experienced teachers at Tidal Yoga will receive competitive rates of pay with a bonus available when classes are fully booked.

Absolutely thrilled that Tidal Yoga Edinburgh has opened up on Leith walk, offering such a wonderful diverse + accessible range of classes (+ instructors) to the community. Attended my first class on Monday, with Alex (the fabulous founder of this gem), and I gotta tell ya....it was the most nervous system nourishing yoga practice I've been to in a while. Perfect for easing the Monday morning-stress vibes. Looking forward to attending many more classes, and experiencing all that this studio has to offer.P.S. All bodies are welcome here 🤗
I’ve never done a yoga class before so Beginners Yoga at lunchtime today was a perfect introduction. At no point was my stiff, old body made to feel out of place or inadequate. Loved it! Have booked another session😊
Today I joined Alex to take part in Beginners Yoga. It was just what I needed (hectic weekend). A lunch-break session to escape the gloom of the first day back.Generous with her time, patient and great guidance, would highly recommend. I'm just getting started but if this is Yoga I'm all in. Lovely warm, clean and bright studio with all props included. Alexandra was really welcoming and led a very relaxing gentle yoga class. Lots of variety of classes at the studio, can’t wait to go to more!
