Welcome to our new yoga studio in Edinburgh, located in the heart of Leith. Here, we believe yoga is for everyone – every age, body size, shape and ability. We’ve created a space where anyone can feel comfortable and experience the many benefits of yoga, from enhancing flexibility and strength to reducing stress and finding balance. Our team is dedicated to supporting each individual’s unique yoga journey.
Our yoga studio in Edinburgh is designed to be warm and welcoming, with a supportive atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind and focus. We aim to make each class a holding space, helping everyone feel encouraged and valued, whether you’re a beginner or experienced practitioner. From gentle sessions to energising flows, we ensure there’s a class for every level and interest.
We’ve designed a class schedule which offers a range of yoga styles and caters to different levels of experience.

At our yoga studio in Edinburgh, we offer a diverse range of classes so you can explore different styles and find what suits you best.
Our team includes certified professionals in Hatha, Gentle, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Strong and Ashtanga yoga, each bringing their unique expertise and passion to the studio. We also offer Mat Pilates classes, yoga for pregnancy and beginners’ classes and a Yoga Nidra session. We will be offering a range of workshops, usually on a Sunday throughout the year. Whether you’re seeking a dynamic flow to energise your day or a gentle session to unwind, our teachers are dedicated to guiding you through a fulfilling yoga experience.

Yoga practice is a wonderful tool to add to an arsenal of activities that support self awareness and inner strength. Yoga really can support anyone going through a lack of confidence, questioning identity, struggling with anxiety or the physical trauma of ongoing pain or mental strain. This is a practice of movement and inner body awareness – learning to love and appreciate the beat of the heart, our inhalation and exhalation and finding strength and agency while we are on the yoga mat.
I strongly believe that yoga is for everyone regardless of age, shape, size and gender. Having trained with the Yoga Therapy Institute my teaching is trauma informed, the trauma expressed as an ongoing ache, the building up of anxieties and stresses. Or, the trauma experienced from a life changing event. Trauma-informed yoga is more about the feeling of embodiment (being within your body) within a pose, rather than how the pose is executed. It can help you connect your mind and body to foster feelings of grounding and security.
In my own practice I enjoy a challenging Vinyasa Flow class as well as a slower paced strong Hatha practice. The classes I teach are a gentle Hatha yoga and a challenging but accessible Vinyasa Flow. I can increase the pace of classes for more experienced practitioners.
But above all the practice I teach is about kindness, gentleness and movement.
What to Expect When You Arrive at Tidal Yoga Classes
YOGA STUDIO LEITH
When you arrive at a Tidal yoga class, your teacher will greet you and make sure you know where facilities are, where you can leave your coat, bag, shoes and socks. You may like to bring some water with you although it is best to come to the class hydrated and have a nice big drink of water after the class. There is no need to bring any yoga equipment with you, unless you have your own that you would prefer to use.
It is a good idea to wear comfortable clothing that doesn’t restrict your movement. If you are wearing trousers make sure they are easy to sit in and are loose enough to take a wide stance. It is also good to wear a layer or two so that you can take off a layer as you warm up and put it back on as we cool down.
If being barefoot is not ideal for you then try and wear socks that are grippy.
