Journey to Headstand is a supportive and empowering workshop designed for anyone who would like to build confidence in sirsasana. Whether you’ve never been upside down before, have been practicing but feel stuck, have the very basic headstand down but want to explore different entries and shapes, or simply want to revisit the foundations of this classic inversion, you are welcome to join!

The workshop breaks headstand down into clear steps, focusing on alignment, strength, technique, and safety. You will learn how to build a strong and steady base, understand common mistakes, and develop the body awareness needed to approach headstand with confidence. We will be doing work in pairs, so be prepared for some fun collaboration!

We’ll explore:

  • The fundamentals of headstand alignment and set-up
  • Strengthening and preparation exercises
  • A variety of headstand entries
  • Different headstand shapes and variations
  • Practical drills and techniques to safely continue the practice at home

The workshop offers a playful, encouraging environment where you can explore your edge at your own pace, with plenty of options to try. It is suitable for all levels.

Please note: Due to the nature of inversion work, this workshop is not suitable for those with injuries, conditions, or limited mobility that significantly restrict movement in the neck, shoulders, spine, or hips. Some prior yoga or movement practice is required to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
