Really lovely studio with a nice range of classes! l love how welcoming and laid back the atmosphere is, while still offering some challenging classes. It offers something special in the yoga and pilates space here in Edinburgh.

I've been coming to mat pilates with Nancy since Jan to rehab my core. She focuses on isolating and strengthening small muscle groups rather than making it into a fast paced workout. It's perfect! And now I can now my 2 year old for longer without back pain. Highly recommended 🙂

LOVE this place. I go to Melanie's class on a Friday evening for restorative yoga it's helped me sooo much in so many different ways I can't go without my weekly class. The studio is warm and so welcoming, every detail has been thought about (thanks for the constant supply of hair bands I forget mines most weeks )

I attended the pregnancy yoga classes here and couldn’t have asked for a more positive experience. The studio has such a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
Alex and Melanie are wonderful instructors: warm, friendly, and genuinely supportive. They create a safe and comfortable space, no matter your stage of pregnancy or level of experience. The classes really helped ease the usual aches and pains that come with pregnancy.
One of the loveliest parts was connecting with other mums-to-be and sharing our experiences.
I would highly recommend the pregnancy yoga classes.

A warm and friendly studio. I came once with a friend - a near total stranger to yoga - but have been a regular for 7 months now. Shout outs to teachers Alex, Annabel, Charles, Ellen, Noelle and Ruth who all have such gentle and supportive energy- every single class.

I have been attending classes at Tidal Yoga for the past eight months. Having spent some considerable time in hospital I was really hoping to regain my physical strength and a calm mind. With such a wide variety of classes, all with wonderful and very different yoga teachers, there is absolutely something for everyone! The studio is bright, clean and welcoming….. every time I attend a class I leave feeling like a new person - stronger, calmer and grounded. I would recommend everyone to try a class at Tidal Yoga - it has certainly been transformational for me!!!

The atmosphere at Tidal is so consistently welcoming and peaceful that I will go out of my way to take a class whenever I'm in Edinburgh. I've been to classes and workshops with quite a few teachers (Alex, Jana, Noelle, Rivkah, Ellen, Fiona, Annabel, Romaine), and every one of them has demonstrated and described the asanas in a way that's easy for me to understand as a beginner. The yin and restorative classes are my favourites as they're so calming. I'd recommend Tidal to anyone, it's a really lovely place.

I recently started yoga at Tidal and honestly cannot praise the studio enough. It is warm, welcoming and the teachers create a really supportive atmosphere. The Beginners Yoga session with Ellen has been a brilliant introduction to the practice. She explains each posture with real clarity and care, and it is such a grounding and uplifting way to start the day.

I’ve been looking for a great Pilates class on a Monday or Tuesday morning since my Pilates teacher of several years moved away and I’ve finally found it!

Having dipped in and out of Pilates for many years I was looking for something as an antidote to three bootcamps a week & that focused on more classical Pilates - the right balance of work & recovery.

Beth’s 7am Pilates Flow class on a Tuesday is exactly what my body needs! A knowledgable & engaging teacher, an intimate & calming space, well priced, small class sizes, easy to get to… Having booked the two class taster package I’ve just paid for the block of ten classes. I’ve been to a whole lot of Pilates classes in & around Leith over the past few months I’m happy to have finally found one that ticks all my boxes!

Side note - I haven’t done the Friday AM Pilates class with Nancy as it doesn’t fit in with my schedule, but I went to Nancy’s classes when she taught at P42 & she’s excellent too!

Ellen leads wonderful classes in a friendly and professional way. I was only going to try it once, but have kept going for months. The studio is really welcoming and relaxing, they learn your name and they are prepared with all the things you may need; from additional equipment to extra hair ties if you forget to bring one. Not like the pale, soulless studios at gyms. I would never get up early on a Sunday morning if it weren't for Ellen's class.

I can’t recommend Tidal Yoga and Alex enough. I did the pre natal yoga classes from about 20 weeks onwards and these were fantastic. Alex not only creates a safe, warm and welcoming environment but her teaching helped me significantly with the birth of my baby. I also did a birth preparation course with my partner and we found the session extremely helpful. I’m looking forward to returning to post natal classes soon! Thank you Alex!

Absolutely loved the prenatal yoga class, it was my first time doing prenatal yoga so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The class was taught by Melanie, she was so lovely with such warm energy and immediately put me at ease. The class was really well paced and super relaxing, Melanie was really funny and playful and able to connect so well with us. I think it was the best yoga class I’ve ever gone to!! Thank you so much!

I first joined Tidal Yoga in January, attending the prenatal yoga class every Saturday! They were one of the best parts of my pregnancy. Alex knows so much about the body and pregnancy, but also teaches with the warmth and care of a granny (aunt 😉) always making sure I felt safe, supported, and listened to. I left each class feeling stronger, calmer, and more ready for birth. I met amazing women here who became friends, and we’ve been able to share this journey together. Now I’m bringing my little one along to the postnatal classes, and it’s just as special—full of laughter, gentle advice, and that same wonderful sense of community. It’s more than yoga—it’s a place where you feel like you belong.

I can’t recommend Tidal Yoga enough. Through January I went to over 15 classes and absolutely loved them all - from yin and restorative to flow and pilates. The space is thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed, I felt incredibly comfortable practicing there. I also felt there was a real sense of community developing, there’s something about seeing the same faces time and time again and becoming more comfortable around each other, that adds to the joy. Alex’s approach to accessibility is refreshing and so needed in Edinburgh. I really valued every single minute I spent there.

Absolutely thrilled that Tidal Yoga Edinburgh has opened up on Leith walk, offering such a wonderful diverse + accessible range of classes (+ instructors) to the community. Attended my first class on Monday, with Alex (the fabulous founder of this gem), and I gotta tell ya....it was the most nervous system nourishing yoga practice I've been to in a while. Perfect for easing the Monday morning-stress vibes. Looking forward to attending many more classes, and experiencing all that this studio has to offer.

I’ve never done a yoga class before so Beginners Yoga at lunchtime today was a perfect introduction. At no point was my stiff, old body made to feel out of place or inadequate. Loved it! Have booked another session😊

Today I joined Alex to take part in Beginners Yoga. It was just what I needed (hectic weekend). A lunch-break session to escape the gloom of the first day back.
